The winner of the 2025 Christmas card competition organised by the local MP and MSP has been announced, with Rowan from Coldstream Primary School taking the top prize.
Rowan’s design was chosen following a public vote by over a thousand local residents from across the Scottish Borders.
Her artwork will feature on the official 2025 Christmas card which will be sent by John Lamont MP and Rachael Hamilton MSP.
The Borders politicians recently visited the school to present Rowan with a certificate, a gift voucher and a Parliament teddy bear.
Rowan's winning design will be made into a bespoke glass keepsake by Harestanes Glass Studio.
Borders MP John Lamont said: “Congratulations to Rowan on winning our 2025 Christmas card competition.
"Her design really stood out and clearly struck a chord with the many people who took part in the public vote.
"It was a pleasure to visit Coldstream Primary School and congratulate her in person on such a fantastic achievement.”
Borders MSP Rachael Hamilton said: “We were delighted to see so many young people from across the Borders take part in this year’s competition. The creativity on display was truly impressive.
"Rowan should be incredibly proud of her beautiful design.
"Thank you to everyone who entered and voted. It’s always a highlight of the year for us to select the finalists and present the winner with their prize."
