We are pleased to announce that Ross Oxburgh has been appointed as campaign manager for the Berwickshire Roxburgh and Selkirk seat. As part of the Conservative Party's general election strategy, a full time campaign manager will be appointed for each of the eighty target seats in the UK. Ross will be with us until June 2015. His principle task is to manage the general election campaign, but he will also be co-coordinating efforts for the European elections next year, as well as helping with the all important referendum on Scottish independence.
After graduating from The University of Glasgow with an honors degree in history, Ross worked as a researcher for the Conservative group at the Scottish Parliament. He is also an experienced campaigner and has helped the Conservatives in many elections and by-elections since 2011. Since joining us in September, he has been heavily involved in both the Tweeddale West by-election, which the Conservatives won with an 18% swing, and the Dunfermline by-election where the Conservative share of the vote also increased.
Ross said: I am delighted with the opportunity to serve as campaign manager for Berwickshire Roxburgh and Selkirk. I am under no illusions as to the size of the task ahead of us, however I am optimistic that with the strong team already in place here and a lot of hard work we can elect a Conservative member of parliament in 2015.
