John Lamont MP recently visited Alfonso’s takeaway in Earlston to celebrate national fish and chip day, which takes place on Friday, 5 June.
During the visit, John met the owner Armando Crolla and his staff to thank them for their hard work serving customers from across the area.
Borders MP John Lamont said: "Alfonso’s is just one of the many outstanding local takeaways we are fortunate to have across the Borders.
"These small businesses create jobs, support our local economy, and bring people together too.
"National fish and chip day is a chance to support local businesses like Alfonso’s and the many other takeaways that provide good quality food at an affordable price."
