In 2013, following an internal review, the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party restructured local associations, to adopt the names and boundaries of the corresponding Scottish local authorities. Accordingly, at its Annual General Meeting in 2013 the then Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirkshire Conservative and Unionist Association resolved to change its name to the Scottish Borders Conservative and Unionist Association. The new and enlarged Association has five branches, which are Berwickshire Branch, Cheviot Branch, Eildon Branch, Teviot & Liddesdale Branch, Tweeddale Branch. So far as Westminster constituencies are concerned, the boundaries of Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirkshire and Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale have not been altered since the 2010 general election.

Currently, MPs representing the Borders are John Lamont, for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirkshire, and David Mundell for Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale. In the Scottish Parliament, Rachael Hamilton is the constituency MSP for Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire. We also have Councillors right across the region. On the 'People' section of this website, you can find out more about how the Scottish Borders Conservative and Unionist Association elected members are working hard for you and your local area.

The Scottish Borders Conservative and Unionist Association seeks to support our candidates and representatives at all levels of government. The Association has a fantastic member base, who enjoy getting to know our representatives and meeting like-minded people in our regular social events.

A recent change in office-bearer representation has been an exciting period for the Association, and we hope to provide you with more information about who we are and what the future of the Scottish Borders Conservative and Unionist Association is going to look like. In the meantime, enjoy browsing and learning about who we are and what we stand for.
